Coven Cosmetics Lip Swatches

The darker shades in this Coven Cosmetics line, are definitely more drying. I would say they feel a lot like a Lime Crime lipstick. Whereas the lighter shades to me feel a lot like the Morphe brand liquid lipsticks - a lot lighter feeling. These lipsticks claim to be richly pigmented, which I would say they are. Also, in the description on the Killstar website it says: “smudge resistant, kiss proof and spell binding”, so we will be doing kiss tests with them in this video:

These lipsticks claim to be richly pigmented - which I would say they are. These Coven liquid lipsticks are vegan and cruelty-free. Another great thing about these lipsticks is that they do dry fast. In the instructions on the package it says "shake well and let dry for 60 seconds"; Not sure if it dries in 60 seconds, but it definitely dries within a few minutes.

I thought the shade “Eternal” was a brown, but it’s actually a burgundy. Out of all of them, the shade Eternal by Coven Cosmetics was the worst one to wear. It completely crumbled off after a couple hours. Definitely NOT a long lasting liquid lipstick.

Vampir by Coven Cosmetics

The red shade, Vampir, which was my favourite colour out of the 6 Coven liquid lipstick shades, wore off a bit after half a day of wear. I did eat lunch and some snacks, so you can see it's starting to wear off in the middle, starting to smudge in places, and starting to feather. I personally wouldn't wear this brand under a mask, I feel like there's other formulas that would be better (I did post a blog about mask safe lipsticks that you can view here). If I didn't eat, I feel like it would have held up better. I think it'd be something great to wear if you weren't planning on eating; like if you're just going out - like if there wasn't a pandemic LOL. To do a proper wear test with these you would have to test every shade because every shade performs differently. The 3 lighter shades Haven, Dusk and Lenore transfer the least, and I think have the best wear time out of the bunch.

These Coven liquid Lipsticks usually retail for $14.99 USD, I got mine on sale for $11.99 USD. Are they worth the money? I would say they are but mostly they're good if you're just buying stuff from Killstar you just want to add some lipstick to your cart, I’m not sure I would buy them on their own.
